Ladakh is one of India’s most remarkable high-altitude regions, known for its rugged mountains, ancient monasteries, crystal-clear lakes, and unique Himalayan culture. This 7-day group itinerary gives travelers a complete introduction to Ladakh at a comfortable pace, combining essential sightseeing with proper acclimatization. The route covers Leh, Khardung La, Nubra Valley, Pangong Lake, and nearby monasteries, offering a smooth, well-planned experience for anyone exploring Ladakh for the first time.
Group tours work especially well in Ladakh due to shared transport, better pricing, and the convenience of traveling with people who follow the same schedule. Coordinating stays, permits, and long drives becomes easier, and overall costs reduce as the group size increases.
Transparent Group Pricing That Actually Makes Sense
Here’s the thing about group tours—bigger groups mean better rates, and we pass those savings directly to you. No hidden charges, no surprise fees at the end. What you see is what you pay. We believe in keeping things real and honest, which is why we break everything down clearly below.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Leh (Acclimatization Day)
You’ve finally made it! Land at Leh Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport and we’ll pick you up for a smooth transfer to your hotel. Day 1 is all about taking it easy—this is your body’s chance to adjust to the altitude. Trust us, sipping chai at your hotel while looking out at mountains is the best way to start. If you’re feeling good by evening, take a stroll through Leh’s old bazaar. The energy there is infectious, and you’ll get your first taste of Ladakhi hospitality and culture.
Day 2: Leh City Tour
Today we explore the soul of Leh. Start with Leh Palace, this stunning 17th-century royal complex that overlooks the entire city—seriously one of the best views you’ll get. Then we head to Shanti Stupa, a white-domed Buddhist monument offering 360-degree views that’ll make your jaw drop. In the afternoon, we dive into the old bazaar where you’ll meet local artists, shop for genuine Ladakhi handicrafts, and understand what this region is really about. Our guide knows the hidden gems and will introduce you to real locals—not the typical tourist spots.
Day 3: Khardung La Pass & Nubra Valley
This is the day you’ve been training for. Khardung La—at 5,359 meters, one of the highest motorable passes in the world. The drive is scenic, the air is thin, and the sense of accomplishment? Unreal. We stop at the top for photos and oxygen if needed (don’t worry, we’ve got you covered). Then we descend into Nubra Valley, where the landscape literally changes before your eyes. The valley is lush, unexpected, and home to the famous double-humped Bactrian camels. Want to ride them? We can arrange that. We stay overnight in comfortable camps right by the Shyok River—falling asleep to mountain views is something special.
Day 4: Nubra to Pangong Lake via Chang La
Another mountain pass (Chang La at 5,360m), more incredible views, and then… you see it. Pangong Lake. A 134km long body of water that changes color every hour. Blue, turquoise, green, purple—it’s like nature’s playing with watercolors. Half the lake is in India, half in Tibet, and standing there, you genuinely feel on top of the world. We camp right by the water, so you’ll wake up to sunrise reflections and spend the evening watching the light shift across the lake. This is the kind of place people return to just to feel that peace again.
Day 5: Return to Leh via Sacred Monasteries
On our way back, we stop at ancient Buddhist monasteries perched impossibly on mountainsides. These aren’t touristy attractions—they’re living, breathing centers of spiritual practice. You’ll meet monks, learn about Ladakhi Buddhism, and understand why these mountains are sacred to the people here. It’s a different kind of adventure, the kind that touches your soul. By evening, we’re back in Leh, where you can explore at your own pace or relax after the adventure of a lifetime.
Day 6: Free Day—Chase Your Own Adventure
You’ve earned it. This day is yours. Want to thrash an ATV through desert terrain? Go for it. Fancy white-water rafting on the Indus River? We can arrange that. Just want to chill, get a massage, and eat your body weight in Ladakhi food? Also an amazing choice. Some people use this day to explore hidden villages, others to sleep in and process everything. There’s no right or wrong answer—just do what feels good.
Day 7: Saying Goodbye (But Not Really)
Transfer to the airport with a heart full of memories and probably a few new best friends. You’ll leave Ladakh changed—maybe just a little, maybe completely. But everyone who finishes this tour leaves with the same thought: “When can I come back?” We’ll handle the logistics; you just soak in the views one last time.

Common Questions About Ladakh Group Tours
I’m not super fit—will I survive this?
Totally. This isn’t a mountaineering expedition. We’re not climbing anything crazy; we’re driving through high-altitude areas, which is a different beast. As long as you can handle some altitude effects (you won’t be alone—most people do), you’re golden. Day 1 is purely acclimatization, and we go slow. Our guides manage altitude really well.
When should I actually book this?
June through September is when everything is open and the weather is genuinely good. July and August are peak (warm, reliable), but also busier. June and September are quieter with equally stunning views. Winter? Possible only via helicopter, and that’s a whole different (expensive) adventure. So yeah—summer is your sweet spot.
Will I get altitude sickness? And how bad is it?
Real talk: maybe, maybe not. Some people are fine, others get headaches. We’re giving you Day 1 to acclimatize, which makes a huge difference. Drink water like you’ve never drunk water before, skip alcohol for the first couple days, and don’t try to be a hero. Move slowly. If you’re struggling, we have oxygen. No shame in using it—literally everyone benefits.
Can I change the itinerary to include XYZ?
Depends on your group size, honestly. Smaller groups (5-7 people) are pretty locked into the standard itinerary. But if you’ve got 8+ people, we can definitely chat about tweaks. Want to add Tso Moriri Lake? Skip something? Let’s talk.
What do I actually need to bring?
Layers, layers, and more layers. You’ll be sweating in the sun and freezing at night—that’s just how it is. Good hiking boots (not sneakers), sunscreen, sunglasses, and warm jacket. We’ll send you a detailed packing list after you book, but the golden rule is: bring more warm stuff than you think you need.
Do flights come with the tour?
Nope. Flights are on you (that’s why the tour is so affordable). But we can point you toward the best deals and help you figure out the logistics if you’re confused. Most people fly into Delhi, then catch a flight to Leh. Takes about 2 hours from Delhi.
So… Are You In?
We keep groups small on purpose—big enough to be social, small enough to actually see everything without being crowded. Spots fill up fast, especially in July-August.
